Two warehouses, one standard
BrickAlternative exists for adult builders who want the big sets without the brand premium. We stock compatible bricks, check them thoroughly, and ship them from warehouses in the United States and the European Union.
These are compatible building bricks for adults, made to fit LEGO bricks. BrickAlternative is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with the LEGO Group. Read the termsWhere we ship
It started with one comparison
Put two finished models side by side and the honest answer is usually that you cannot tell them apart. The difference is in the price, and in how much care went into checking the box before it was sent.
That is the whole idea behind BrickAlternative: stock the sets adult builders actually want, inspect them properly, and keep the catalogue wide enough that there is always a next build.
How we check a set
Fit first
Bricks are sampled for clutch and alignment before a batch is listed. A set that will not hold together is not worth the discount.
Colour under neutral light
Tiles are compared against the reference palette in daylight-balanced light, because a colour that looks right on a screen often is not.
Packed to arrive whole
Parts are bagged by build stage and the box is braced for transit. Missing pieces are replaced — the point is that they should not be missing.
The difference between a good build and a frustrating one is usually a fraction of a millimetre.
Sets for the United States and Canada leave the US warehouse. Sets for the European countries listed at checkout leave the EU warehouse. Tracking is emailed as soon as a parcel is scanned.
